Well. It's hosted on Neocities, for starters. I don't remember how exactly I stumbled across Neocities in the first place, but it more likely than not involved researching 90s ᴡᴇʙ ᴅᴇsɪɢɴ. Somewhere around early August 2020, I finally decided to "seize the moment", as they say, and make my very own website on Neocities! Although I thought I'd end up putting it off for ages, I figured out some CSS and settled on a basic design not too long after creating the website, attempting to combine two of my favorite colors despite how bright and clashy they look together (not much has really changed design-wise since then). This was some of the earliest text added to the front page:

At first, I didn't really know what to do with the site, aside from displaying what little tangible work I had done; so, pages dedicated to some of my StepMania-related projects were put up in a fairly short amount of time. Eventually I just started adding whatever I felt like sharing with whoever visits the website, but even now my website upkeep is a bit inconsistent to say the least.

Despite that, it only took until late August or early September for me to pen a proper name for the website: "Riako's apartment complex". Why an apartment complex? Well, I lived in one at some point while I was a kid, and it seemed like a step up from a trinket box...

...And, well, as all good 90s websites say, "this page is under construction!" The theoretical apartments in the equally theoretical complex are sure to be filled out with time...

If the site update count on my Neocities profile seems unusually high, it's because I have a bad habit of saving and testing almost every small little change I make to pages - especially when it comes to more fiddly things like tweaking the layout or .css files.

Okay, but in all seriousness, I can't think of many good ways to describe myself that either aren't hilariously overbearing, or that can't be described better in the things I do. I'm weird, I daydream too much and overthink everything, and overall just trying to do my best against all odds.
